Protocol for Serving Line Volunteers

• Arrive at scheduled time (3:50pm is ideal)
• Wash hands immediately
• Wear apron, hairnet and gloves
• Gloves must be worn with fake nails and polish
• Closed toed shoes must be worn
• Seek instructions from Melissa or those in charge
• On serving sheet, find name of patron and write in number of meals received (several names do have approval to take more than one meal…please check sheet before giving out more than one meal at a time.)  Add names to end of sheet if not typed in.
• Serve the patrons
• If patrons dine-in, they can receive seconds and have a drink
• Fill delivery orders no earlier than 4 pm!!!! (please be courteous of those dining in, please do not make them wait for very long)
• If run out of food, may give canned goods out
• Grace Lutheran Manor calls in the number of meals and picks up around 3:30-4:00pm on Wednesdays.  Delivery driver comes on Mondays to deliver to Grace Lutheran Manor. 
• You are responsible for dishes to be washed (stainless steel may be towel dried, plastics have to air dry for 24 hours)
• Sweep and mop the entire kitchen (even under mats)
• Bleach down the counters and wipe down all equipment
• Bleach down booths and clean up drink area
• Check to make sure bathroom is clean & tidy
• Turn off all equipment
• Turn down heat to 62 degrees
• Turn off air conditioning
• Make sure refrigerator and freezer are shut tightly
• Sign out your time
• Initial check off list if last one to leave
• Lock door!!! Please double check to make sure door is locked!
